Review of Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi

Updated: Sep 24, 2021

The holiday vacation was warmly embraced by the kitties, Inca, the snoopy cat, her sister Cara, and her brother Fromage. Their human mom decided to take them to explore the Serendipity Island in Sri Lanka. They enjoyed the warm weather during their stay at the Island. Unfortunately, a crime was reported of a stolen sword and other valuable goods from the Colombo Museum.

Inca was the CEO of Inca & Company. So she decided to bring together some members of her detective team to do an investigation regarding the stolen valuables. Grab a copy of the book to find out whether the detective team reclaimed the stolen valuables and who the perpetrators were.

The book depicts an interesting diary written by Inca. It showcases the events Inca’s family experienced during their vacation in Serendipity. I like how creative the author is. She put together intriguing illustrations that help the reader get a clear picture of the scene described. She also used a descriptive writing style to narrate the story from the perspective of Inca. The tone used in the narration of the story is conversational. The idea of merging humans and animals to create an engrossing and fascinating story is a plus.

Children between ages 5 and 10 years will benefit from reading the book. There is a lot to pick from the narrative. For instance, the children will learn the impacts of teamwork. They will also learn to be responsible, committed, and loyal. Moreover, gaining knowledge about different countries and cultures is a bonus.
